The Great State of Georgia and Foreclosures For Sale

The state of Georgia is home of the great city of Atlanta which is known for being the cultural center of the south. It is the home of Rap, Hip-Hop music one of the largest aquariums in the world. The Atlanta Braves and Turner Broadcasting where TBS originates itβs programming.
Atlanta is also becoming victim, as is the whole state of Georgia and the rest of the country, to the financial ruin that is befalling us today.
The home market in this area literally exploded with subdivisions popping up seemingly overnight. Banks lent money to folks that really had no reason or way to get a mortgage. Paperwork was made to work and suddenly there was a demand for housing and of course, the banks and the builders obliged by providing it.
The big problem there is what goes up, must come down and with the fall of the financial institutions, there is an inordinate amount of housing that is sitting vacant and either has never sold or has been sold and then foreclosed on in is owned by the bank or other institution.
Builders have gone out of business and banks are now holding property that is choking them financially. The Atlanta Journal Constitution claims that houses have been entering foreclosure at a rate of over 10,000 per month and that rate has been steadily accelerating since mid summer and shows no signs of slow down.
What this means is that anyone that has the financial ability to make purchases has a wealth of homes of every shape, size, style and cost from which to choose and if you are looking to buy a foreclosed property there may well be no better time than now and no better choice than the state of Georgia.
It is close to everything, Nashville, Dollywood, mountains to the north the ocean to the east, Florida to the south. Usually mild winters and warm summers and always a lot to do to keep yourself and the family occupied.
The business outlook in Georgia, as a whole is fairly good but unemployment is rising here, as it is everywhere. That will mean that more families have lost homes to foreclosure due to the lack of jobs to pay the mortgage and as such there is a larger amount of homes and other properties awaiting someone to buy them.
You could but a nice mountain chalet up in the Blue Ridge Mountains or the hamlet of Helen, which resembles a mountain village; you could get a lakeside villa on Lake Lanier, the largest lake in Georgia, which was made by the army corps of Engineers. Or you could go uptown and get a nicely foreclosed southern mansion in the pricey area of Atlanta known as Buckhead. You can even head to the music capitol of the state, Macon.
No matter what you are after, you should have no trouble finding a representation of it in the foreclosed hoe listings in the great southern state of Georgia, the heart of the south.
